Talented 20 year old French forward Kakuta is wanted by Ligue 1 club Dijon. Kakuta is currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers but is scheduled to return at the start of 2012. With Kakuta not getting many chances in the starting XI, Villas-Boas might consider sending him to a different club. And Dijon coach Patrice Carteron is eager to land the highly rated forward. Carteron told daily Le Bien Public:
“My idea is not to sign players for the sake of it. We want to strengthen the squad, not just replace players. Gael Kakuta is a rough diamond, someone who can bring us something extra.”
Meanwhile, Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has revealed his admiration for the young England midfielder. After losing on-loan midfielder Jermaine Jenas due to a season long injury, McLeish has clarified that he is looking forward to add a few more players to his squad, with a midfielder being his priority. When asked to clarify his interest in McEachran, Mc Leish told the Express&Star:
McEachran has made just 10 appearances; most of them as a sub, for the Blues since getting promoted to the first team in 2010. A loan deal might actually work wonders for the highly rated midfielder.
“He (McEachran) is one of their hottest prospects. I think they are thinking about loaning him, yes. At the start of the season they weren’t, but the word is they are thinking about it. But I don’t want to say yes about anything because I am juggling a few balls.”
