On Tuesday night, Tuskegee University and Albany State University met in the first round of the SIAC basketball tournament in Birmingham, Ala., and a wild fight  broke out between the two school’s cheerleading squads.

On Wednesday morning the conference released a statement on the matter and officially dismissed the two cheerleading squads from the remainder of the tournament, according to AL.com.

SIAC commissioner Greg Moore issued a public apology as well on Wednesday afternoon, as did Tuskegee, which won the game 80-63, advancing to the semifinals to face Morehouse College on Thursday.
